First book I remember reading

The first book I remember reading on my own: In 4th grade I picked out a book from one of those Scholastic magazine fund raisers the schools do. It was Island of the Blue Dolphins. That is where my love of reading started.

However, my love of Christian fiction started in High School. I went to a boarding academy my Jr. and Sr. year and the girl's dean lent me her George MacDonald books. Wow! I was hooked.
