first week of June

Posted by: muddybootacres <muddybootacres@...>

Well, now that I have planted my seedlings over in the garden tires, it
looks like the rain is passing over us. Nothing is lost yet, even when we
had the remnants of the storms from the sw come up on us. the old tires
seem to be working well this year.
My parents were to be coming up from Florida last week to begin packing
and selling their home. Due to bad circumstances, it seems that they will
not be making another trip north. It is now put in Tom's and my
responsibility to pack up the entire home and get a hold of a realtor.
Mind you, my two grandmothers passed away not that long ago and mom and dad
have their things at there home too. So in reality, it is like packing up
THREE homes to save, toss, store. Wow.
The latest Countryside came in the mail the other day and I noticed there
was an article from a "neighbor" of sorts of you Lisa M. It was about a
couple that built a privacy wall from 5 gallon buckets. They say it is
right outside Capitan, on highway 48. Interesting!
How are the rest of you doing?
There is lack of activity on the fb threads, and for those not on there,
this list is quiet too.
Don't forget about us here! Some have been going on a decade or more.
