Flags & Bells

the display of flags in our little town. I was in town last night and did
not see all these flags. I stopped at a garage sale and the lady there told
me that the paper delivery person had commented to her that she was amazed
at how many houses were decorated when she delivered papers this morning.
Of course I thought about buying a flag way too late. The news last night
said they were sold out everywhere. Then an idea hit me...prehaps there
would be some at the flea market? I stopped by the flea market and was
shocked to find a whole stack of them in varying sizes. We are in the
process of hanging a big 3ft x 5ft flag on the front of the house. I was
surprised it was only $8. I got one for the mailbox too. I hope Dave will
be pleased when he returns home to see the flags. I do feel a bit silly
though. We've always had older cars so they have had antenna's. We now
have a new car. I bought an antenna flag only to discover my atenna is
built into the windshield! My children burst out laughing but it was nice
to laugh so loud.
The churches in town also rang their bells as requested and it was a
wonderful sound to hear....Deanna
