FOR SUFFERING

We thank you, Lord, for giving us part
In Jesus' suffering, in pains and trials,
To die with him, to know his heart
Of love, to walk those dusty miles
With him to reach the lost and dying.
For fellowship in speaking News,
Lord, hear our praise, our audible sighing
When sinners scorn and souls refuse
Salvation. Hear our constant pleas
For harvest, turning hearts, pardon;
For this we've hardened our bended knees,
For this your Son prayed in the garden.
