Free Chick-Fil-A today (July 8) and Free Slurpee at 7-Eleven on Monday (July 11)

Dear friends,
I have some other things to send you later, but wanted to let you know right away that it is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A today (Friday, July 8). If you dress up as a cow "from head to hoof" you can get a free full meal. If you dress up partially as a cow, you can get a free sandwich. We did this last year and had a blast! The kids wore plain white or black t-shirts with construction paper spots, as well as tails and ears. You can download printable cow parts at the web site, http://www.cowappreciationday.com/ We're going this afternoon around 1 PM since I need to be in that part of town.

Also, if you could say a prayer for our family, one of my young adult daughters got in a car accident last night and damaged the front end of her car. She hydroplaned on a very wet road and rear ended a mini-van, which had only minor damage. We are very thankful that nobody was seriously hurt, but her car is going to be out of commission for a couple of weeks (and she usually drives 70 miles a day for work) and there are obviously some expenses for deductibles and such. Please pray that we can quickly work out all of the details. It's been pretty upsetting, but I know God is in control.
