Dear Hope Chest friends,

 

I received an e-mail about the Stand Strong conference the other day and hope to watch some of it online starting this evening and ending tomorrow.   The schedule did not indicate who is speaking when, so I have e-mailed Apologia asking them to post this.  I was just about to send this e-mail to you when I noticed they sent the link for the PDF with the detailed schedule.  Here it is: http://www.apologiaonline.com/live/chilive2010.pdf  I particularly want to see my home school heroes Sally Clarkson of Wholeheart Ministries and Jeannie Fulbright who are speaking together on the topic of marriage at 9 PM CST (that's 10 PM Eastern time where I live).  See below for more information.  I am tucking in two other things before it!

 

In other news, BlueBehemoth is giving away free downloads of an entire Jonathan Park CD until October 13.  These are creation science adventure stories.  I remember listening to a CD of them that my friend Debbie lent to us several years ago.  My kids really enjoyed them!  There are several episodes on this one CD, and after you download them you can put them on an iPod or MP3 player for easy listening.  For a little disclaimer, I am not generally a fan of Vision Forum (which produces them) but I can't resist alerting you to this free deal.  I found out about it via Graham Family Ministries and downloaded mine yesterday.  You can see for yourself here: Free Jonathan Park Album from BlueBehemoth.

 

Finally, I just added a new post to my StartWell preschool and elementary blog about a book we read this morning, Benjamin West and His Cat Grimalkin by Marguerite Henry.  Learn how to integrate literature, art, and history easily!   And in case you missed it, check out Florida Field Trips #1: Historic St. Augustine.
