Good evening,
We have run into an example of the world's view of responsibility. Our oldest son was in a headon collision three weeks ago. The accident was caused by a 16 year old driver, who was unlicensed. He had been given permission to take out his car, if his friend, who was licensed drove. So naturally, they drove out of sight, and changed drivers. The first thing after the accident, they insisted the other boy was driving. Fortunately, their injuries made it apparent that wasn't the case. But, it has been three weeks, and the highway patrol officer hasn't filed his report. And no one else at the patrol wants to take responsibility for it. We just have to wait on him. Meanwhile, the boy's father says it is his ex-wife's responsibility since she owns the car the boy was driving. Which happens to be uninsured. The ex-wife supposedly lives in another state with her mother. But no one can locate her. Not even her sons, supposedly. Since the father has custody, we feel it is his responsibility. But our insurance agency cannot get him to respond to phone calls or letters. Everyone seems to be passing the buck, and meanwhile, my son is out a truck with a brand new motor that he was still paying for. Our insurance company says it can't do anything because he only had it insured for liability.
Doesn't anyone in the world nowdays have a sense of responsibility???
