Giving Praise and Glory

Posted by: bneumann848 <bneumann848@...>

No unbelief or
distrust made him waiver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God,
but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to
God, fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word
and to do what He had promised.  (Romans
4:20-21 Amplified Bible)

Abraham is famous
for being the father of faith. He held unwavering trust in God’s ability,
willingness and faithfulness to fulfill everything He promised, even in the
face of impossible odds. What strengthened his faith is something you and I can
tap into, as well: giving praise and glory to God.

Giving praise and
glory to God takes our focus off of ourselves and directs it to the God of the
impossible. Praise remembers all that God has done and reminds us that He is
well able to do exceedingly, abundantly far above all we can ask or even think
(Ephesians 3:20).

Faith is
strengthened when we remember that our hope is not in ourselves and our own ability
to make things happen. Faith is strengthened when we take our eyes off of
ourselves and gaze with awe into the eyes of incredibly intense love.

Heaven Father, You
are more than enough. In the face of impossible odds, when we have done all
that we can possible do and it still isn’t enough, You are well able. When we don’t
know what to do, we can set our eyes on You (2 Chronicles 20:12). We give You praise
and glory for all that you’ve done and all that You’re going to do. In Jesus’
name. Amen.
