by J. Randal Matheny © 2014God ... sees where planes mysteriously disappear,
Where searchers cannot scan, nor circling satellites peer;
Upon the sea’s vast surface, in depths bereft of light,
No span of metal wings escapes his range of sight.God ... knows man’s thoughts are evil, and plans are vain,
His sin has soiled the holy, his lying lips, profane;
Man’s heart is full of folly, his twisted hands to blame,
Yet God redeems his creature by the Cross in Jesus’ name.God ... hears the whisper behind the closet door,
The cry of pain and grief with its face upon the floor,
The lonely, burdened soul behind the pallid smile,
The quiet, suffering saint who’s faithful in his trial.God ... sees it all, and all he knows and hears,
The tears of loss and death, the pounding, grinding fears;
He counts upon our heads the very number of hairs,
He sees and knows and hears and, more than that, God cares.— ‹‹«»›› —
