Going after them

Brethren,

I ask this question not to usher a debate but to get some insights from the more experienced.

Should the pastor go after that member (sheep) who has gotten mad and resigned just as he would a sheep who has become slothful and careless?

I'm just wondering if ever person who has made a profession of faith and worked in church and been difficult to work with should be gone after when it may be God saying this person has held back the church long enough, he is gone now get on to the task.

I know he needs ministering too. If he has gone to another church but not yet joined should the pastor of that church seek to minister.

Perhaps answering me direct would be preferred rather than taking a chance on opening up a debate. I'm not interested in debating just your insights.
