guitar tuning

I must have missed the beginning of this whole guitar tuning discussion...

I have a Yamaha 12 string acoustic about 10 years old. For some reason
the G strings keep going out of tune. I had a technician look at it
and he tweaked it up and put on new strings and it was better for a
while. But the guitar in general doesn't stay in tune well at all. I
can tune it before our Mass and in the middle it will need it again.
Only trouble is I can't silently tune it so I try to unubtrusively
softly tune by ear but this is not a good solution. Do you think the
Elixer strings would be good on my guitar??? I usually use Martin
Marquis strings. Is this a common problem in 12 strings or in this model???

Or OUCH is it time for a new guitar???
