Habitual Fellowship

Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with
God after the birth of Methuseleh 300 years… And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship]
with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]. Genesis 5:22, 24
Amplified
Because of faith Enoch was caught up and
transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was
not found, because God had translated him...
For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on
record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. Hebrews 11:5
Amplified
A dietician once told me that it’s not the things
you do occasionally that really affect you, but it’s the things you do
habitually. That was surely the case for
Enoch. For at least 300 years, he lived
in close, daily fellowship with God. He included
God in every part of his day, and included himself in God’s day. He was a faithful “regular” in the throne room
of God. I wonder what they talked
about. I wonder if he did a lot more
listening than talking. I wonder if they
discussed his homegoing.
I believe it was Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin who,
when asked how much time he spent praying each day, responded that he rarely
prayed more than 30 minutes at a time, but that he rarely went more than 30
minutes without praying. Continual habitual
fellowship. Do you hear the Lord calling
you to crawl up into His lap and spend time with Him? If it’s been a while since you've been there, let me
assure you that He misses you.
