Happy Birthday America! On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from England and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" so they can begin their American Dream.
The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and indepen-dence with barbecues, picnics, and family ga-therings. Through the Internet we are learning about and communicat-ing with people of different nations, with different languages and different races throughout the world. Bringing the world closer with understanding and knowledge can only benefit all nations.
We invite all nations to celebrate with Americans online this Fourth of July.
Happy Birthday, America~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
***Jesus On The 4th Of July ***We gather ‘round to celebrateOn Independence Day
Pay homage to our country
As the children run and play.
With barbeques and picnics
And fireworks in the air
The flag we own is proudly flown
To show how much we care.
The stars and stripes spell freedom
She waves upon the breeze
While bursts of colors can be seen
Above the towering trees.
This is all quite wonderful
We revel in delight
But God above in divine love
Has brought this day to light.
With just a stroke of liberty
A touch of His great hand
He gave democracy to us
And helped this country stand.
The stripes upon our stately flag
Were touched by His sweet grace
Each star of white that shines so bright
Reflects His loving face.
So as you turn to face the flag
For battles that were fought
Be filled with pride for those who died
And freedoms that were bought.
But don’t forget to thank the One
That gives the bright display
The reason why we paint the sky
On Independence Day

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~* How Do You Dress For Church *~*Come as you are:
One Sunday morning the congregation of a ritzy church with
vaulted ceilings, handcarved oak pews, stained glass windows
and deep plush carpet had a stir.A man came in just minutes before the service was to beginand he was dressed horribly.
He had on boots, overalls, a flannel shirt, and a cowboy hat.
The congregation was aghast! Many quickly sent notes to
the minister about this concern. At the end of the service the minister greeted the humblydressed man and asked him if he enjoyed the service. The man exclaimed that he enjoyed it very much. The minister asked the man to consider possibly
dressing differently, and told him to pray to Jesus about he
would have him dress if he should return again. The next week the man returned. He was dressed the sameand once again the congregation was disturbed. At the end of the service the minister greeted the man againand asked him what he had been told by Jesus concerning hishow to dress for church.
The man exclaimed, "I spoke with Jesus about this but Jesus
said he didn't know how I should dress for this church
because He has never been here."*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Have a Blessed DayDave and BarbaraNecessary Legal InformationI do not mail idea-central unsolicited.
