Subject: [HomeSteadHeaven] Rod and Staff ; pathways; Miller Books

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in about Rod and Staff...we love the
books!!! Right now we are using the "Patterns of nature" 2nd grade Science
and Elizabeth Loves it. For reading we are using the Pathway readers and
have gotten the same response from her. Pathways are written By Amish or
Mennonites ..not sure which... as well. Some other books we really
like..."The Miller Series" the 5 book series is published by Green Pastures
Press, right now for family worship in the evening we are reading "Proverbs
and the Millers" I think we enjoy it as Much as our children!! Most of these
are available at http://www.anabaptists.org (I think thats the address) and the Man
who runs this site (Mark Roth - I think thats right) is delightful to work
with! You can also find some of these things on eBay and on Vegsource - i
buy most of my things used. Oh yea, we also use alot of "Christian Liberty
Press" books - these are very nice as well. And one more thing - don't know
if any of you have heard about "Pearables" - http://www.pearables.com " but I did
buy part of their program (The Narrow Way) and though It seems my daughter
is about young for this just yet, I am looking forward to starting it in the
next year sometime. If you have Preteens or Teens they might enjoy the
"Ellie" series From Herald Press - I am reading these myself right now 🙂
and I enjoy them though I am just a "tad" past being a teenager - 29 today -
hehe. Some more we have enjoyed - of course Little House books, and The
Christy series - I love most all of the Amish Mennonite storybooks and
anything set when things were simplier!!! I think my 2 cents has turned into
a half a dollar - sorry to ramble! Angie
