My name is Jimmy and I'm from Louisville, Kentucky.
I just recently subscribed to this site and am very moved by the discusssions, sermons and prayer requests.
I ask that you keep in me prayer. I'm an assoicate minister at my church here in Louisville and will be preaching in my Pastor's stead this weekend. We have three worship services, 8:00, 10:00 and 11:30 a.m.
My preaching text is Micah 5:2. "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are the little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient of days."
Among the points I am prayerfully considering are:
(1) God's Promises under the most unlikely of circumstances.
(2) God's Choice of the weak to lead the strong.
(3) Privelege does not necessarily equate to blessedness.
(4) Splendor and Riches can be distractions to holiness (Jerusalem was under siege for their disobedience).
Has anyone preached from this text before? Any other prayerful considerations
On another note, I recently purchased pre-paid legal services. In light of the litigious culture in America, does any other minister on this site have this service? I'd like to share more about it if you so desire. Thanks.
