I have just finished up writing the newest issue of the Hope Chest, which I call Pilgrimage and Jubilee.   I will be including a review of a book for women in marriage crisis.  If you have a story of how God has restored your own broken or badly damaged marriage, and you would like to share it to encourage our readers, please send it to me as soon as possible.  I plan to send out this issue on Wednesday.   It should be a few paragraphs at most, and be discrete.  If I get several, I'll either choose one or two, or I will send them in a separate section.

 

I had originally intended to review several resources this month, but these are going to have to wait another month or so.  If you are one of the authors/publishers who sent these books, please be patient with me!  When you see this next issue, I hope you'll see the method to my madness.

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?
And one more thing.  Unlike our cell phones we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected, because Jesus already paid the bill.
