Dear friends,Every few years or so, I like to send out a little survey to see how the Hope Chest is doing. We recently began our tenth year of publication, so I would appreciate a bit of feedback from you all to help me plan future issues. Please take a few minutes to respond to some (or all) of these questions:~*~*~1) In what ways was the last issue, The Grace and Truth Edition, helpful to you? What was least helpful to you about it? (To refresh your memory, the articles were: Grace and Truth in the Stories of Our Lives, My Middle School Misery from a Fresh Perpsective, A Personal Story of Heartache and Healing by Debbie Klinect, Mourning a Miscarriage, plus poetry)
2) Of these Hope Chest issues in the past several months, which ones were most helpful and why?
- #10-3: You Have to Read This One! (review of Cheryl Bastian's book, plus encouragement by Karen Pyros and Stephanie Johnson)
- #10-2: Soul Mate or Sole Mate? (devotional on marriage by Gary Thomas)
- #10-1: The Essence of Excellence (raising the bar in home schooling, plus poetry and speeches on justice and liberty, etc.)
- December: Christmas Treasury / Family Advent Ideas / Rhapsody in M poem
- #9-10: Still Thankful in the Storms of Life (handling adversity, interview with songwriter Vikki Cook, marriage resources, etc.)
- #9-9: The ABCs of Home Schooling (Home School Mom's Alphabet, Alpha-Virtues, A-Z web links, etc.)
- #9-8: Family Ministry (Pent family to Korea, Mardy Freeman's book, Orlando Children's Church, etc.)
- #9-7: Filled with Good Things (nurturing the soul with beauty, what we were planning for school this past year, etc.)
- #9-6: Pilgrimage and Jubilee (the deeper life of the spirit, midlife reckoning, marriage, Linda Rooks' book, counseling resources)
3) Do you prefer to see more heart issues or more academic topics discussed?
4) Has the Hope Chest had a specific spiritual impact on your family?
5) Do you usually read most of each Hope Chest issue?
6) What features are least helpful to you? (In other words, if I had to cut it, you wouldn't mind.)
7) Is there anything that bothers you about the Hope Chest?
8) Do you print out issues to save or just read them at the computer?
9) Have the extras and announcements that I send out between regular issues been helpful to you?
10) Have you ever purchased anything because you saw it recommended in the Hope Chest? Were you pleased with it?
11) How old are your children, how long have you been home schooling, and which main educational approach do you use?
12) How long have you subscribed to the Hope Chest?
~*~*
I look foward to hearing from you, and thanks for responding!
Blessings,
Virginia Knowles
