It is said that the weekly prayer meeting is the spiritual barometer for any local church. You can tell with a fair degree of accuracy what the church is like by the demeanour or substance of the weekly prayer meeting. Is there genuine evangelistic concern? If so it will be expressed in the prayers. Is there a heartfelt longing for the conversion of unconverted family members If so that is sure to surface. Is there a world vision and a fervent desire for revival and the glory of our Redeemer among the nations of the world? Such a burden cannot be suppressed. Is there a heart agony about famine and war and the need for the gospel of peace among the suffering multitudes of mankind? The church prayer meeting will answer that question. Intercession in the prayer meeting will soon reveal a loving church that cares for those who are oppressed and weighed down with trials and burdens. Those bearing trials too painful or personal to be described in public will nevertheless find comfort in the prayer meeting, for there the Holy Spirit is especially at work

Horse Update

I am not sure what the Lord is doing, but I trust Him.  The neighbor man was there first and found the horses in a stall.  He kept them in until we arrived.  The gelding was easy to handle and had a halter on.  They were able to easily lead him when needed.  The other is a stallion and according to the horse person that was there, he is a beauty.  They took a long time just talking to them.  Gave them some feed and some carrots.  They were unable to get a halter on him.  They decided to try and lead the one horse into the trailer and see if he followed.  The other one went right in the trailer with no problem.  The stallion was not having any of it.  He ran round and round the truck and trailer.  He would go to the back door and I would pray that God would just have him walk in.  In the end, they let the other horse back out and we will have to come up with a plan B.  We are all looking into a few things to see if that will help.  I know we were probably the only Christians there, and they heard me praying or at least some of them did.  God has a different plan and that is OK.  Thank you for praying and please pray that we find out God's plan that will work.  🙂  I am attaching a picture of them after the one got let back out and they were reunited.
