HOW MUCH IS LEFT TO DO!

How much is left to do!
The hour is late,
It cannot wait,
The hands to work are few.

How far we have to go!
The way is hard,
Be on your guard,
The howling wind will blow.

The murky self is dark!
The treacherous heart
Is clumsy art
That often errs the mark.

How deep God's gentle streams!
His mercy flows
In broken lows
And copious grace redeems.
