The enjoyment of God is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of earthly friends, are but shadows, but God is the substance. These are but scattered beams, but God is the sun. I Cannot Pray

I cannot say OUR
if my religion has no room for others and their needs.

I cannot say FATHER
if I do not demonstrate this relationship in my dailylife.

I cannot say WHO ART IN HEAVEN
if all my interests and pursuits are in earthly things.

I cannot say HALLOWED BE THY NAME
if I, who am called by his name am not holy.

I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME
if I am unwilling to give up my own sovereignty
and accept the righteous reign of God.

I cannot say THY WILL BE DONE
if I am unwilling or resentful of having it in my life.

I cannot say ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
unless I am truly ready to give myself to his service here and now.

I cannot say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
without expending honest effort for it
or by ignoring the genuine needs of my fellow men.

I cannot say FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US
if I continue to harbor a grudge against anyone.

I cannot say LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
if I deliberately choose to remain
in a situation where I am likely to be tempted.

I cannot say DELIVER US FROM EVIL
if I am not prepared to fight
in the spiritual realm with the weapon of prayer.

I cannot say THINE IS THE KINGDOM
if I do not give the King the disciplined obedience
of a loyal subject.

I cannot say THINE IS THE POWER
if I fear what my neighbors and friends may say or do.

I cannot say THINE IS THE GLORY
if I am seeking my own glory first.

I cannot say FOREVER
if I am too anxious about each day's affairs.

I cannot say AMEN
unless I honestly say, "Cost what it may, this is my prayer."

 
 

*** Heaven Is Real ***  

If Heaven is Real like I believe..
And the gate of pearl and street of gold..
And all is peace and love and serene..
That is where I am going ..I'm told..

If I live for Jesus and stay in his will..
And work toward saving souls..
Jesus said "Heaven is my home"
And that is why I say it's my goal...

If you don't want to go to that land..
No one will make you to go..
God has given us a free will of our own..
And it's up to you to say yes or no...

Oh.. but the beauty of that far away land..
And the King of Kings that awaits for me..
Keeps drawing me toward that heavenly strand..
And my loved ones whom I again will see...

I can't wait til I've made it home..
When the love and beauty will shine..
And the peace and Jesus who is there..
Cause Jesus said it will be mine...

No riches of this world can compare..
No gold or silver or jewels in the hills..
When all will be taken very much care..
And don't have to worry about the bills..

No sickness or deasases or criples there..
All will be well and doing fine..
Young and happy and spry again..
There is no concepts of earth time..

A day is as a thousand years..
A thousand years is as a day..
So we will live in eternity there..
And never count time anyway...

But here time has become our enemy..
For it is fastly running a drought..
When we will have to hurry you see..
And spread God's word throughout...

As for me and my house I say..
'We shall serve the Lord Jesus Christ..
For without him to take my sins away..
I would have had to pay the price..

He did it all for you and me..
That day long ago when he took my sin..
Don't let time run out on you...
Before you ask Jesus to come in.

 
 
*** Attitude *** 

 
Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.
 
The remarkable thing is, we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
 
We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
