Introduce myself

Hello Ladies,
I've been receiving the posts for a few weeks now but wanted to introduce
myself.
I'm Karen Savannah, Rachel Savannah is my daughter-in-law. She is how I
found out about this list. Rachel is married to my oldest son, Tom, and they
are the proud parents of my first wonderful grandson, William. I'm also very
blessed to have Rachel for a daughter-in-law and Tom for a son. They are
wonderful parents. I have another son who is still living at home. I'm 44
years old and have lived here in New Jersey most of my life. We live by the
Jersey Shore. We are about 15 or 20 minutes from the ocean.
We do not farm, however, would very much like to do that sometime in the
near future. It would probably mean a move for us as land here in Jersey is
very expensive.
I grew up near my Aunt Anna who had a small farm. My brothers and I have
wonderful memories of her farm. The corn and tomatoes and beans, etc. were
so wonderful from her garden. They also had a huge pumpkin patch and she
would always call us in October and let us have the first pickings of her
pumpkins. We thought that was great. Some of them were huge. 🙂 She had
chickens and we would always have fresh eggs. She also had a few other small
animals.
I would appreciate any information any of you would like to send my way
about different parts of the country and how it is for farming.
Looking forward to getting to know many of you, I have noticed many of
