Is REVIVAL LIKE JUDGMENT DAY?

The Lord is doing a wonderful work in your heart, although it is
painful for you. Read this and be encouraged.... I received this
from my Pastor, as I to, have been deeply convicted of many
areas of my life. This is what is taking place.....
Dr. J. Edwin Orr, the renowned student of revivals, gave a special
message not long before he graduated to glory. It was titled,
Revival is Like Judgment Day. It was captured on video. While
the quality was marginal, the content of the message was important.
Orr says that while we look on past revivals with a hunger and
longing, praying for a renewal in our own time, those who experience
the first winds of revival testify that it really doesnt feel all that
good; in fact, its downright painful because the Spirit brings a
depth of conviction of sin that is shattering to the ego. Hence the
title of the message Revival is Like Judgment Day.
Youre praying for revival. Many of us are asking for the same thing.
Have we genuinely counted the cost of the answer to that prayer?
Are we willing to pay the price? Are we ready for a conviction of
sin so strong, so deep, it touches things so ugly & hideous that
apart from the grace of God we would despair?
Until we possess a desperate longing for personal revival, instead
of just praying that everyone else would get fixed by the Spirit,
revival will stay firmly locked away behind the portals of heaven.
Are we willing to let God mess with us?..... REALLY??
