Perspective:- Your God Reigns Is. 52:7.
Judah is in captivity. Away from their land and home, Jews were very much depressed and discouraged. They even doubted the power of the Lord Almighty. Isaiah says to them, Awake
52:1 Stop lying down, how long will you stay tired, and live in anxiety and weakness? Get up, be strong, and be happy. Why? What is the reason? Your God reigns.
They thought the Babylonian, Assyrian kings are on the throne and control the affairs. No, the Lord is on the throne! It is He who controls the affairs of man. Nothing
is beyond His control. He allows the kings to sit on the throne. It is He who removes them in time.
He knows your state, He is going to deliver you, save you, comfort you. V.9. He will lead & guide you form before you and behind you. You will enjoy absolute
protection and safety.v.12.
Is it not an encouraging message for us too? He lives and reigns. Government may
come and go. Policies may be changed, environment may not be favorable to
us, yet we can rejoice in the Lord, for He is on the throne, the unchanging King of Kings.
Isaiah wants that this message may be echoed back and forth in Zion. Because it is good news for the depressed Jews, its news of peace & joy. For us too!
So what to do?
V.9. break forth and shout
.
V.11. depart, touch nothing unclean, purify, etc.
Shall we do the same? Yes, even more! Is He the Lord of our Heart? Does He really reign in our heart? Be conscious of His sovereignty and live in His
will--satisfied and confident. And declare Our God
Reigns

Study Note:- Tabernacle - The pillars of brass:
As we have seen, the pillars were also of brass, the same as the socket in which it stood. This shows that if one is to stand for God, they must also expect to suffer, 2 Tim. 3; 12. Though none can share the atoning sufferings of Christ, nor even understand them, yet we are called to share His sufferings, that is, His testimonial sufferings, the sufferings of reproach, persecution, reviling etc.
In Philippians Paul tells us that it is given to the believer not only to believe on Christ but to suffer for Him also, Phil.1;29. Then in chapter 3, he speaks of knowing
Christ and, "The fellowship of His sufferings", ch.3; 10. To the Colossians he said that he filled up "That which is behind of the afflictions of Christ" in his flesh, "for His
body's sake". So today any who will
stand for Christ, and will not lean before the winds of persecution or of doctrine, must expect to invoke the criticism,
condemnation and persecution of others, sometimes even of those with whom they are in fellowship.. Eph.4;14.
However the brass pillars, though the strong winds of the wilderness would hurl the sand and grit against them, it would only polish the brass and make them shine the
brighter.
The silver rods:
These rods connected to hooks on the bands of silver, and joined pillar to pillar, thus uniting the fence into one continuous thing. In contrast to the pillars which stood
up, the rods laid down. This brings to mind the verse in 1 John 3;16, which tells us that "because He laid down His life for us', ( the silver), "we ought to lay down our
lives for the brethren". The fact that the rods are silver, suggests persons who have a very deep sense of the
mercy of God, such as Paul, "the chief of sinners" had.
The Lord Jesus said "Her sins which are many are forgiven; for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little". Luke 7;47.
Dear believers like these, seldom insist on having their own way, or stand up for their own "rights", but by their humility and self denial unite the believers in the local
assembly and their testimony.

Anecdote:- Presence of the Majesty
It isn't good to be too comfortable in the presence of majesty. There is a story about a man named Lear who was hired to give Queen Victoria art lessons. Things were going well, and Lear started to feel quite at home in the palace. He liked to stand in front of the fire, lean on the hearth and warm himself in a relaxed manner,
but every time he did, one of the Queen's attendants would invite him to look at something on the other side of the room, making him move. No one explained it to
him, but after a while, he got the idea: good manners said that it was wrong for a subject to have such a relaxed attitude in the presence of their Queen.
In the same way, the angels don't "relax" before God. They "stand" before the Father, but the Son sits down--because He isn't a subject, He is the Sovereign.

News & Views: - Alarming rate of suicide.
According to the latest report every hour one person commits suicide in Kerala, the southern state of India. And the number of suicide attempt is ten times more. For the last many years Kerala was holding the number one position for suicides in India. But it is the first time such a big number (9244 in 2005) is noticed.
The state that normally boast on its hundred percent literacy and other resources, though loved to call themselves as Gods own country, it seems desperately in
need of Gods special grace. It is surely a challenge and an open door for Christian workers
too. Kerala needs some thing more than education and foreign
exchange, which the Lords people ought to point out.

A worthy quote:- Walk as He walked 1Jn.2:5
That man must have been in the army or in a military school, I said to a friend once. Yes, he said; how did you know? By the way he talks.
You can tell that some people have been with Jesus by their walk.
--D. L. Moody

Net Resources :- Keralabrethren.net
Around thirty years ago when the American military made a net work for defense communication they never imagined that it will be one of the most effective and revolutionary medium of communication the world has ever seen. Today around 1000 million people are glued to the internet at any given time, surfing some four
billion web pages scattered all over the world. Every 10 minutes 460 people begin to use the internet for the first time for research, entertainment and communication.
Realizing the potential of the internet for promoting their ideology and product, people of all walks of life are using it for their advantage. Many committed Christian
believers too are actively using internet for evangelism, edification and encouragement. Lots of spiritual resources
are available online today.
As in any other human invention, evil influence is very much in the internet and we must be careful even with Christian sites. So in this new series we introduce some
of the best web resources where believers will benefit.
To begin with this writer is happy to introduce keralabrethren.net where he visits most often. A lot of interesting features and, facilities wisely arranged by the web masters. No personal agenda or hidden intention. Articles, messages, and music all together a rich treat.
The most important feature of their site is the interactive pages. Here we can place our thoughts, ideas, doubts, concern, prayer matters, classifieds, even a
matrimonial advertisement. The discussion forum is very interesting for the serious students, though some misuse it. They have started another site
only for discussion
called, Brethren.in. Visit today itself. I am sure you will be a regular visitor there.
