Perspective:-                                      Mourning to Music

According to a recent study, it is reported that women who cry live long. Tears help them to extend their life!  The word of God too says that a believer’s tears have value.

David, the sweet singer of Israel writes that his tears have turned to songs and mourning to music. Ps. 30:11;
57:2, 7. Is it possible? Humanly speaking, it’s very hard. But a child of God can experience such a transformation—weeping to dancing and sniffle to songs.

How is it then possible? Simple, cry! Shed tears in the presence of the Lord. He keeps a record of our tears. Yes, there is no use of lamenting before man. They will only worsen the situation. We know how Eli judged the tears of Hannah. But God collects it in a bottle! Ps. 56:8. It will never go waste.

Israelites, under the bondage of Pharaoh in Egypt cried. Their cry reached the presence of God. Exo. 2:23—25. Hezekiah became sick and pleaded with tears. The Lord’s heart was moved at the tears of His people. Eli misunderstood the tears of Hannah but the Lord took a note and rewarded promptly. Yes beloved tears before the Lord never go waste.

That doesn’t mean that just any tears have value. There may be somebody shedding
tears hypocritically or for some wrong reasons. But sincere, heart breaking at the feet of God, acknowledging the greatness of God, His utter holiness, and the unworthy, pathetic, helpless condition of one’s life, has sense and significance. When a believer burst in to tears in that context, heaven will move to transform the life of that saint. That’s what David, Hezekiah and the Israelites experienced.

Beloved, are you in such situation where you feel crushed, forgotten and forsaken? Do you think that dear ones have deserted you?  Do you think that you are surrounded by cruel, wicked enemies? Do you feel that there is no one to trust, lean and seek for help?

It was exactly the experience of the psalmist. Ps.57:1, 4, 6. But he cried, took refuge in the shadow of the almighty, and exalted the Lord as a priority. In the end he says my heart is stead fast, I will sing praises for the Lord. What a
change! What a transformation! Mourning to music.

The Lord can do the same change for us too. His eyes are always upon us. His ears are constantly open to our groaning. He will do the best for us, perfectly in His time, according to His purposes. Just wait, trust, lean and be at His feet, pouring our heart before Him, even with shedding few drops of tears too.

                             Fine Twined Linen:

This speaks of our Lord Jesus Christ as the perfect Servant, and emphasizes His perfect righteousness. The fine linen, clean and white in which the Bride is arrayed in Rev. 19 ; 8, is said to be the "righteousness of the saints". The Lord Jesus did what was right, not out of any sense of duty, but because He loved it, Psalm, 45 ; 7.

In Isaiah 53 ; 11, God calls Him, "My righteous servant".Linen has great wearing qualities, and will wear longer than any cloth made of natural fibres. Wile teaching on  this subject on one occasion, I was emphasizing this aspect of
linen, and after the meeting and old sister came to me and told me that she still has a beautiful linen table  cloth that was used by her grandmother. This sister and her husband had been married for more than 60 years, so the cloth would have been more than a hundred years old, and she told me that it was still in good condition.. So we may rightly speak of the fine twined linen as being the cloth of service.

It is Mark's gospel that emphasizes the glory of Christ as God's perfect servant. We could write as a caption over that Gospel the words that God spoke through Isaiah "Behold my servant whom I uphold; mine elect in whom my soul delighteth", chapter 42 ; 1. Mark gives us no details concerning the conception, birth or boyhood of Christ, nor of his years of adolescence. He introduces Him to us as a servant, preaching the Gospel, working in the service of His heavenly Father. Mark constantly uses the words "immediately and
straightway", to emphasize the fact that the Lord Jesus never wasted a moment.

In chapter 7 we hear the people say of God's servant, " He doeth all things well". verse 37. Then as the Gospel closes he tells us that though the Lord Jesus was received up into heaven, yet when the disciples went forth everywhere to preach, the Lord was "working with them", Ch. 16 ; 20, still serving. Thus the gate brings before us the fourfold aspects of the glory of Christ, the only one, through whom men can draw near to God. Entering through the gate, represents the repentant sinner, coming to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. When one does this, the new birth takes place, they are then able to see the kingdom of God, things that had remained a mystery before, and to enter the kingdom of God, by surrendering their lives to trust and to obey the Lord Jesus , the King.

Anecdote:
-                                                Stolen Pig

The farmer killed a pig and hung it up for the night, intending to butcher it in the morning, but the next day it was gone. He didn’t tell a soul about it, and nothing happened for more than to months.

Then another framer, who lived down the road, came by and said, “By the way, Josh, did you ever find out who stole your pig?”

“Nope,” said Josh. “Not ‘til just now! ”

News & Views: - 1                        Gives a away billions

Recently the world’s second richest man Mr. Warren Buffet, gave away $37.4 billion of his fortune for charity. It is considered that it was the largest ever grant to charity by an individual. It is well known that Bill Gates the richest man on earth has separated $29.2 billion of his wealth for charity. Following such challenging examples, it is reported that some Indian corporate leaders too are making huge donations for charitable purposes.

It is true that corporate giving may have many motives,
nevertheless it is generous giving and some needy will surely benefit.

There is no doubt that such sacrificial giving is rooted in the Christian tradition. They know the value of giving as they have tasted the benevolence and sacrificial giving of God almighty. Also they know well that whatever they posses belongs to God and they are just stewards.

Are we always conscious of this fact and give for the Lord and His purposes- willingly, sacrificially and cheerfully.

Seven bomb blasts with in 15 minutes in the most crowded suburban trains of Bombay left more than 200 dead and hundreds injured. It was the third time the city came to a stand still with in one week. The recent floods and the shiva sena agitation brought much havoc in the city of Mumbai. But the powerful serial blasts by the hard core terrorists were so terrible and destructive. Train compartments were ripped apart and the overhead electric line was broken.  The professionals of Bombay who were traveling in the first class compartments were thrown out in pieces. Truly it was a tragic scene. Our sympathy and prayers ought to be with the victims and the dear ones.

At the same time many believers gratefully remembers the way the Lord protected them.
Sister Sajini of Borivli assembly was in the same train, her husband  Bro. A.C. Rajan , used to travel in the same ill fated first class coach normally, but because he could leave early from the office, he took and early train and reached home. Bros. Varghese, Jaison, and Rajendra of Malvani assembly were traveling in those affected trains. Praise God for the way the kept his people.

Even, last year when the floods took away more than eight hundred people in Bombay, all our brethren were safe by the Grace of the Lord. Mr. Ivan Desai, elder of Borvili assembly commented it well, ‘Many have gone away, but the Lord has preserved His people to fulfill His purposes. Let us do that as long as we are alive.’ Let us not forget the divine purpose in sparing our lives from such tragedies.

Worthy
Quote:-
                         Walk worthily

“That man must have been in the army or in a military school,” I said to a friend once. “Yes,” he said; “how did you know?”   “By the way he talks.”

You can tell that some people have been with Jesus by their walk.
