Perspective:-                            Keep the track.

Consistency in any effort is essential for success.  Moving forward steadily will always yield results. Nevertheless, that uninterrupted march should be in the right track as
well.   Simply running is not enough. Years ago one of our athletes won the race but later it was proved that she deviated from the track in the course of her race. Thus she lost the
victory she won with much effort. Notice the Lord's commandment to Joshua, "be careful to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you…..do not turn from it to the right or to the left".
Jos.1:7, 8.  Observe, how seriously the Lord instructs Joshua of the importance of staying in the right path laid  out in the law, for him as well as the people.

God has designed a definite, perfect pathway/track for a Christian. Rom.12:2. Treading through that course alone, a believer shall find fulfillment and triumph in his life. When we commit ourselves to take that road seriously and sincerely, even if to pay a price, God will be pleased in our steps and He will shower the added blessings all through the
way.The wise man put it very clearly, "When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him". Pro.16":7.

That demands constant examination of our life, performance, and walk in the light of the word of the LORD.   We need to carefully seek the word of God to make sure that we move in the right path. Pray like the Psalmist, "Make me know thy ways, O Lord; Teach me Thy
paths". Ps.25:4.
"Teach me thy way O Lord; I will walk in thy truth; Unite my heart fear thy name".  Ps.86:11. Do not let me wander from thy commandments". Ps.119:10

Do we have the commitment like the Psalmist to know the word and walk in that truth alone? As Psalmist referred, need fear of God in our heart!    Sad, many seldom take note of their track. They simply think, 'it's OK'!  But remember, the consequences of a careless life will be far reaching.  Apart from the possible failure and subsequent troubles we will lose the reward too. Paul reminds Timothy emphatically,   "….if any man competes as an athlete, he does not win
the prize unless he competes according to the rules". 2 Tim. 2:5

Too many have began well but failed on the way only because they were not careful enough to keep  their steps in the right pathway. Cp.  1 Tim.1:19; 2 Tim.4:10. Let each one of us be very
careful to keep the track  to be victorious in our day to day Christian life.  1 Cor. 10:12.

Study Note:-                      The Brazen Alter(contd)

Overlaid with bronze

As mentioned earlier, the brass, or bronze, represents the Lord Jesus as the one who has borne all the wrath of a holy God against our sin, and our sins. Bronze, or copper, is
renowned for its ability to stand and to absorb heat, it has a very high melting point. Though outwardly meek, lowly in heart, yet He had the strength to endure all that men did to
Him, but in addition to bear the unmitigated fury, the fire of God's wrath against sin. All that
God could righteously demand of lost and guilty sinners, He, the sinless one paid it all. That is
why before He died, He cried in mighty triumph, "It is finished", He died in the full knowledge that nothing remained of the wrath of God. Blessed be His Holy Name!

The acacia wood was overlaid with bronze, this bronze must have been quite thick, because  all of the burnt offerings, all of the peace offerings, the oblations, the trespass offerings, the
consecration offerings, were burnt upon this altar, during the 40 years of the wilderness journey of the children of Israel, and also for many years afterwards, when they were in the
land, right up to the time of Samuel, were burned upon this altar. We never read of it being either repaired, or replaced. Thus for so many years the fire burned both night and day in this
great altar of bronze, for we are told that the fire was never to go out, Lev. 6 ; 9-13. This would teach us, that our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our "altar", is never to be replaced by
another, that as long as we are here in this wilderness-world, we are to continually offer the sacrifice of praise and worship, to Him, and through Him to God, and our Father.

The dimensions of the altar:
We are told in Ex.27: 1, which the altar was to be 5 cubits long, 5 cubits broad, and 3 cubits
high, which will show that it was very large. We are told in Eph. 3; 18-19, about the
dimensions of the love of Christ, there 4 dimensions are mentioned, the breadth, length, depth and height, and assured that those dimensions are inscrutable, passing knowledge. So here we are reminded of the tremendous scope of the sacrifice of Christ. It is so long, that
in the patience of God it can reach those who have wandered farthest away, even the chief of sinners is reached by that love and patient sacrifice, God using Saul as a sample case to
display in him the length to which His mercy can reach, displaying His whole longsuffering, so that all might have hope. 1 Tim.1; 14-16. So broad in its extent, that it is sufficient so that if all
men were to repent and to receive Christ's salvation, all could be saved. John tells us that "He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world",

1 John, 2; 2. So deep that it has measured and borne the horrible, depth of man's sin and guilt, and the awful depth of God's judgement against that sin.

Anecdote: -                                 Only one door is needed

The story is told about Sir Isaac Newton, the famous scientist, who lived in the 17th century. He had two pet cats, a mother cat and her kitten. They wanted to go out or come into his
study. They troubled him to open the door for them whenever he was busy. He thought of an idea and called in the carpenter to make tow holes in his door for both cats to be able to go
in and out of the room. He sent instruction that there should be mad e a large hole for the mother and a smell hole for the kitten in the door. When the carpenter came, he had a good laugh at the idea. When Sir Isaac questioned his
humour, the carpenter replied, "Don't you think that one hole was enough for both cats to go through? The kitten could go through the same hole as it's mother" Sir Isaac Newton did
indeed look very foolish that day for there was no need for two doors when one was good enough.

Sadly, many sincere and clever people think that God needs many6 confusing ways for mankind to find Him. But God does not need a hundred doors, fifty doors, twenty doors or
even two doors to heaven when one is good enough for all. Jesus said, "I am the door. By me if any man enter in he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture" Jn.10:9.

There is salvation, satisfaction & security in Christ. Call upon Him to be your saviour. Chooe Christ, not confusion!
                                                             "
Only one door
And yet its sides are two
                                                            The outside and the inside
                                                             On which side are you?"

News & Views:-1.     National Missionary Challenge Conference

Preparations for the 'National Missionary Challenge Conference' is moving ahead fast in New Delhi, India. After organizing such mission oriented conferences in various
parts of South India since 1990 it is first time they ventured for a large meeting focusing the entire nation. The organizers expect about 1000 delegates, in the age group of 18 – to 45, from all over
India and even abroad.  The main aim is to impart a missionary vision to the participants and there by revive the assemblies. There will be missionary pavilions and exhibition stalls to give
an idea of the Brethren Movement and the present work going on in India and abroad.

The conference will begin on 21st October and conclude on the 25th and the medium will be

English & Hindi.

No doubt, the challenge and a call for the missionary work should come from the Lord
Himeself. Nonetheless we can pray that these efforts of the dear brethren may be an
instrument to that extent. For more details, contact:- nmcc@gmail.com

News & Views:-2         Catholic Church in Kerala Call the laity to multiply.
In recent pastoral letter read in the catholic churches in Kerala India, the Major Archbishop
Varkey Vithayathil exhorted the laity to be aware of the consumerist culture and which is destroying the family values. He said the modern market mentality of childless, pleasure-
seeking generation is the cause of social evils like drug abuse, prostitution and violence. He said, due to such market mentality at least 25 European counties are slowly becoming the
countries of the aged.  Those who have the means should come forward to have more children and bring them up, he exhorted.

Back to the Bible is the only answer for the all the problems society face today.

News & Views:- 3.              UK Muslims dream about 'Islamic' Britain!
According to a recent report about one-third of Britain's
1.6 million Muslim dream that
Britain will one day become an Islamic state and follow the Sharia law. During a recent survey they expressed their concern about the moral fabric of the country.
They said the UK is a country of bad moral behavior.  Most of these views came from Muslims under the age of 24.

No body would deny the fact of the deteriorating moral conditions of the so-called Christian countries. Forgetting the Lord and His word is costly, not only  for the individuals even to the
nations.

Worthy Quote:-                             Holy Life
"

The serene, silent beauty of a holy life is the most powerful influence in the world, next to the
might of the Spirit of God."
