Jewel Weed

Posted by: amazinggraze <amazinggraze@...>

We have TONS of jewel weed on on our property. My husband gets poison ivy
really bad and keeps it for 6 weeks using conventional over the counter
stuff. I finally talked him into trying jewel weed this year. His poison
ivy is gone in a week. He took my old garlic press and takes a stalk of the
jewel weed to work. He cuts off a little piece, puts it in the press and
squirts it right on the poison ivy. It stops the itching and we are told
it neutralizes the oil. I don't know what it does, but it works. Also,
Rachel from Ohio on this list had her daughter take some and mash it up and
freeze it. We want to do this in an ice cube tray, so that when he gets
poison ivy in the winter (clearing out the woods) he will have the jewel
weed then.

Wanting to please my Lord and Savior,
Marci, Adopted List Momma
