Hi Julie 🙂I hope it isn't too late, but if the guinea still
has her keets, try to take all but 2 of them, and brood them in a cardboard box
with a clamp light. You will need to put an old window screen or something
over the top within a week. She will be ticked off, but get some one to help
you, and take a broom for your back up man. I put them in my gathered
apron. get her in the eve when she goes to sit on them.We have had guineas for about 4 years now, and have
seen them come off the nest time after time with a minimum of 20 chicks.
For some reason, they never seem to be able to raise more than 2, and usually
only 1. We have hawks and owls and all kinds of predators here. We
recently lost our only remaining female guinea in the middle of the day, right
after she came off the nest. We had to buy 5 from the feed store in hopes
that there will be a female in the group 🙂Really neat to see, the rest of the "herd" as we
refer to them, will all group together to keep watch over the babies. But,
they still don't have enough live brain cells in the whole group to pull it off
🙁:)) Kathy
