Just thought I'd share.... I went to a GREAT bread making class put on
by King Arthur flour last night in Lawrence. It was so fun, it was on
artisan bread making (crispy thick crust, chewy center). Yum!!! I came
home from work today and started my "poolish" (basically a sponge) in
preparation for making bread tomorrow. It was a really great class, free
too. If you have a chance to go to one, do go! I found out about it in
their catalog although you could probably go to their web site
www.kingarthurflour.com and find out when they'll be around your area.
They also had a sweet bread making class in the afternoon, but I couldn't
get away from work for that one. They gave us a nice little recipe
booklet (I have 5 extras if anyone would like one, email me your address,
I just got them for the coupons on the back), 2 packets of yeast, and
they also had some fun door prizes, but I didn't win any of those.
Anyway, it was really fun!!Leacy
