Similar to the instructions we pass along to our children for their physical safety, our Father in heaven gives us His instruction for our spiritual safety. Yet like ignorant and carefree children, we at times ignore His teaching. We at times want to do things according to our own estimation apart from the Scriptures. And when we do this, God in His mercy allows us to feel pain. Guilt is a gift from God that makes us sensitive to sin. Another word for this that we commonly use is conviction.

King Of Majesty

One of our singers heard King Of Majesty (Hillsongs) on U-Tube and wants
us to learn it. So I have been playing with the chords today. The Intro
is B E F# E B G#m F# E. The G# is a minor I am pretty sure - mostly I
will be using power chords with lots of gain so it doesn't matter much
until I hit the pre-chorus part. This picking part has a Van Halen sound
to it to me. Can someone tell me how to play it correctly.

The part I am talking about goes:
F# G#m
King of Majesty, I have one desire
F# G#m E
Just to be with You my Lord
F# G#m E
Just to be with You my Lord

By the way the singer who requested this is a lady in her mid-60's. She
is terrific at harmonies and basically pulls our singers together. At
the same time the lady likes to rock when necessary.
