Be blessed as you face this new strange and unusual year. Tomorrow I'm preaching from Psalm 46, "Our Forever Mighty Fortress".

    "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. . . . Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold."

Pray for me as I try to share strong words of hope and encouragement from this amazing Psalm written in celebration of King David's victorious conquests against three pagan and wicked nations -- the Ammonites and Edomites, both descendants of Lot's incestuous children, and the Moabites, descendants of Esau. There are some powerful truths to be shared.
