Little Bear Prayer Update for baby William

So many of you have asked for an update on baby William Goforth. I am
forwarding the message I have received from his grandpa, Richard "Little
Bear" Wheeler.

Subject: Little Bear Prayer Update for baby William
We just got home from Colorado Springs yesterday evening and I shot right
into my office to give you all an update on how baby Goforth is doing. It
was suggested by the medical prenatal staff of Memorial Hospital to,
Pull
the plug on baby Williams because he would never have a good quality of
life due to the damage to his brain because of excessive blood swelling
on
Friday, January 25. After a poor reading to the brain by the EEG test it
was determined that baby William would never be normal. After much
prayer and scriptural reading, we decided to ignore the professionals and
commend William to the Lord, and allow him to live. He is now 11 days
old,
and was air lifted to San Antonio, Texas to a level 4 prenatal hospital
so
that he would be close to home. The flight was about $12,000 dollars.
Wow,
what a flight for $12,000 you could fly to the moon. To give all the
details here would be too tedious to recount now, but definitely
orchestrated by the hand of the Lord.
Yesterday, while in Colorado Springs Marilyn, daddy Joshua, and I
anointed
William with oil and prayed the prayer of faith for healing as given in
the book of James Chapter 5. Within a short matter of time a hospital
here
in San Antonio accepted non-insurance baby William, that for hospitals is
something they do not generally do, but God opened the door. Also baby
William began to breath on his own something the professionals at
Colorado
Springs thought he would not do. The Hospital here in San Antonio has
performed another EEG and has declared that his brain has improved from
the first test 5 days ago which is also stumped the professionals. They
have also cut back the supplemental air because he is breathing on his
own.
Continued Prayers:
1. Pray that William will shock the medical community with a complete
healing to the brain. I was praying when anointing my grandson with oil
to
the Lord reminding him that when he cried to Lazarus to, Come forth
that
Lazarus was brain dead for 4 days, and yet he completely restored him.
This is our hope. I told the attending doctor that my prayer is that
someday I would walk William back to this hospital and he would come up
to
the Doctor and say, My name is William Goforth the Lord has raised me up
from the bed of near death.
2. There is talk about doing some unpleasant things to baby William that
I would like the Lord to heal so it would not be necessary. There is a
possibility of putting in a Shunt from the brain to the Stomach. There is
also a possibility of a Tracheotomy, pray these will not be necessary as
the Lord will heal and make it obvious to the medical staff that the
procedures will not be necessary.
3. Pray that Williams internal vital organs will continue to develop at
an extraordinary rate.
4. Pray that he will not be blind, or deaf and that his eyes and ears
will
open and be in full use.
5. Pray that the Lord will send praying Christians and doctors who will
pay special attention to him and give him the best medical care can give.
6. Pray the Lord will open the windows of heaven and provide the
necessary
funds for the Goforths to pay the incurred expenses.
We cannot thank you all enough for your care and devotion. The Goforths
have received about 800 E-mail notes, postal letters, and some monetary
gifts. I will keep you posted as things develop.
