MARRED

[Inspired by the Dec. 10 devotional thought
on RBC.org.]

By man's bad choices life was marred,
And far from God he ran and strayed;
His mind perverted, his heart was scarred,
God found him wanting when he weighed.

But Jesus came and changed his lot:
The baby grew, the Master died;
Where man had failed, this Jesus wrought,
By death he saved and sanctified.
