Dear Hope Chest friends,If you don't live in Central Florida, you can delete this message. I do
apologize for this, but it's the only way to get the word out to the most
people as quickly as possible.About 9 years ago, our family hosted a student through the ministry of
Mission to Japan. It was a very enriching and educatonal experience for
all of us. The director of the program, Warren Griffith, called us today
saying that they urgently need 10 more families to host students -- and
they are arriving July 28! Please contact Warren as soon as possible if
you are interested in hosting a student! (And tell him I sent you!)Blessings,

Date: Thu, 8 Jul 2004 17:28:28 -0400For over 10 years, Mission To Japan has been giving Christian families
the
opportunity to be involved in a Christian mission and cultural exchange
program, right from home! This is possible by being a host family to a
Japanese student for a period of two to three weeks. Again this summer,
host families are needed to host a Japanese student (ages 16 - 22), from
July 28 - August 18 (however students will be on a retreat 8/5 - 8/8).
Host
families are a vital part of Mission To Japan's goal to share the good
news
of Jesus Christ with students from Japan. This is a great family
oriented
mission and cultural experience that the children will love.Japanese students are coming to Orlando to practice their English, learn
about American culture, and experience life in America. They desire to
become friends with an American host family. Students are busy during
weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, as Mission To Japan teaches them
English
and Bible, and also takes them sightseeing. Host families simply drop
off
their student at a local church in Orlando by 9:00 am and pick up their
student at 5:30 pm (carpools are often available). Students spend their
evenings and weekends with their host family and fit into the family's
schedule. The Japanese students who join this program are always
courteous,
and respectful and understand the Christian aspect of this program.
There
is a host family orientation meeting that will help you have a great
experience.Several more host families are urgently needed. If you would like to host
a
student this summer or during another period throughout the year, please
call or email Warren Griffith, director of Mission To Japan, at
407-273-4454
(email: [email protected]) for more information
