Modifiers on Character Sheet

Hey,

Just one question here...when you have a modifier - say a racial modifier for a dwarf (+1 strength) - is that added into the initial roll at the beginning of character creation? Or is that put under the "adds" column on the character sheet? Your help would be greatly appreciated...

I will be using this site to track our play group's progress, my work on some short stories that have been in moth-balls for far too long, and to converse about the expanding work of the Faerenoth Isles, which have been in moth-balls even longer.

I have set up a geocities/yahoo website to put up the Faerenoth material as I get it together. I am also hoping to reconnect with Ed "Bear" Wentz for some art work in this. He did several initial computer-paintings for my first short story.
