Here is the great evangelical disaster – the failure of the evangelical world to stand for truth as truth. There is only one word for this – accommodation: the evangelical church has accommodated to the world spirit of the age… Truth carries with it confrontation. Truth demands confrontation: loving confrontation, but confrontation nevertheless. If our reflex action is always accommodation regardless of the centrality of the truth involved, there is something wrong.

In the message I just sent out that had a plug for Faithful Bookshop (http://www.faithfulbookshop.com), I forgot to mention two items of personal interest.  First, Faithful Bookshop has a nice stack of the Fall issue of The Old Schoolhouse home schooling magazine -- the one with my article "Living and Learning in the Sovereign Hand of God" and my daughter's Mary's interview with The King's College President, Dr. Stan Oakes (http://www.tkc.edu) and an ad for Faithful Bookshop.  The store also has several copies of my book Common Sense Excellence: Faith-Filled Home Education for Preschool to 5th Grade AND several copies of my Learner's Journal lesson planner and resource log.
 
So go take advantage of their Grand Reopening sale on Friday!
