MY FATHER'S DEAR EMBRACE

Oh, God of One and Three,
In fullness manifest,
Unfold yourself in Christ to me,
And end my life's long quest.
Your Holy Spirit's breath,
Come fill my emptiness,
Create a life where once was death,
With your divine impress.
My heart seeks love complete,
A true and earnest friend;
I lay my yearning at your feet,
And know my journey's end.
My Father's dear embrace
Is more than life to me,
To look upon his smiling face
For all eternity.
