My feeble attempt at a F.R.O.G.S SERMON

I put this together quickly and noted the resource I used. I had put off developing this message until I could see what was shared with me from my request through PastorMail. Having received none and planning to do this message tonight, I placed myself in a position of time restraint since I've had some church duties to arise.
Such as it is I share it with you. Praise God for His blessings on when His word is spoken and knowing it is not our eloquence etc...which draws mankind to Him.
The Greatness in One Verse of Scripture: Philippians 4:19
Introduction:
When giving consideration to the name and logo of our youth ministry, I thought long and hard for many days on how to communicate what the acronym F.R.O.G.S means.
I considered focusing on each letter and give an exposition of the letter 'F' which means 'fully' and then the letter 'R' for 'rely' and then continuing to the 'O' for 'On.' The letter 'G' could be expounded on as we consider the vastness of 'God' for which the letter symbolizes. A great deal of time and exposition could be spent on the letter 'S' which stands for 'Son.'
I also considered looking at some bible personalities who displayed a full reliance on God's Son. There is Joseph, the dreamer, Daniel, the Hebrew boy who grows into a man of great character from fully relying on God's Son.
There are many others we could look at. Instead of looking at a person who has done this I am going to challenge us to be people who DO this. People who FULLY RELY ON GOD'S SON. Philippians 4:19 tells us we can indeed do this.
God has promised to supply all needs of His dear people. This is one of the greatest promises of Scripture: Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. KJV
- There is the Great Provider: God Himself.
No matter what the need is, the need is not greater than God .God can and will meet the need. Note the pronoun "my." It is "my God" who shall provide for the needs
- A person has to make sure that the God who can really provide for his needs in his God.
- A person has to make sure that he knows God personally—well enough that he can trust and depend upon God to meet his need.
- There is the Great Assurance of Provision: "my God shall supply."
There is no question about the provision being supplied. God is God; therefore, He is able to provide and He will supply whatever provisions His dear child needs.
- There is the Great Provision: "all your needs."
This promise does not refer only to the physical needs for food, clothing, and shelter. This promise also refers to mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. It refers to any need that arises and confronts the believer. No need will be omitted or overlooked. No need is too big or too little. No need is unimportant—not to God, not if His dear child is really experiencing the need.
- There may be the lesson for the believer to learn before the need can be met, some lesson such as more trust, endurance, love, joy, peace, gentleness, meekness or control.
- There may be some testimony that the believer needs to share as to the strength of Christ, which carries us through trials.
- No matter what the trial or need is, God will supply all our needs.
- There is the Great Resource: "according to His riches in glory."
Take all the riches and wealth, glory and majesty of heaven—it is all available to meet the needs of God's dear people. There is no limit—not even a fraction—to the great resources at God's disposal. God can provide for every need.
- There is the Great Mediator: "By Christ Jesus."
This is a critical note, for God does nothing apart from Christ. No person can approach God without coming to Him through Jesus Christ. This is the key to having our needs met:
Surrendering our lives to Jesus Christ . FULLY RELY ON GOD'S SONAsking God to meet our needs in Him.
- We must always remember that God has only one {unique} child: the Lord Jesus Christ. (italics mine since Jesus is monogenes)
- God loves Christ so much that He will do anything for the person who honors Christ by sacrificially giving to share the glorious news about Him.
