Our Gospel: Comes to Change (1 Thessalonians 1:5)

"Our Gospel have you ever thought of the Gospel in those terms? Our gospel places a possessiveness on both the Gospel and the believer.

Like a pioneer looking to settle new land, Paul carried the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the unsettled city of Thessalonica. His intent was to make known the Good News of Jesus Christ so that it might possess and settle into the hearts and lives of the inhabitants.

Our Gospel: Continues to Constrain (1 Thessalonians 1:6-10)

The Gospel is at the very heart of what God has been doing, is doing and will be doing in this world. It the Gospel is a continuing and constraining force, as it possesses us and as we possess it.

If the Gospel is at the heart of what God is doing what should be at the heart of what you and I be doing?

The Plenty and the Few (Matthew 9:35-38)

About this time of year (August/September) the harvest of tomatoes are plentiful but the seekers of tomatoes are few. The question asked is, Do you need some tomatoes? with hopes of giving some away. Lift up your eyes to the tomato patch for the harvest is plentiful but the pickers and seekers are few.

Our text, Matthew 9:35-38 lends it self not to tomatoes, but to the harvest souls, in that they are plentiful but the seekers of the souls are few.
