Opening Young Minds

Hello folks,

I am thinking on running a role playing game for a friends children (2 boys ages 5 and 7, with a possible 13yr old for support), one of these kids has ADHD (he 7yr old), and the others, while very intelligent, need some creative outlets conducive to reading and such. They are already fans of the Lord of The Rings movies, but I want them to thirst for the books, and other books as well.

That said, though I like DragonRaid, the many stats would most certainly throw them. So I need a good "gateway" game to help get them into it all. I was thinking on using the Microlite20 system, its free, easy to learn, and it can easily be used with a copy of Dungeon magazine.

So, my question to you all is; how would you use such a system to help these kids out? How can I both instill a love of wonder, adventure and storytelling, as well as possibly having Christian messages?
