Hi Pat,
Thanks for the welcome! Since Mark and I are desiring to become debt free
and live more simply than we already do, we are wanting to live in an area
where it's affordable. We had looked at Oregon alot, but it seemed very
expensive, especially land and taxes. Are we correct in thinking that? Is
Texas more affordable in those areas? I like Texas because of the good
homeschooling laws which New Mexico also has. I lived in Pasadena and
Longview as a child. My grandma had a farm in Jefferson, (east Texas) and
her sons now live in Houston. Definitely hot and humid there! I know that
God is the one leading us to live differently and that He will show us where
to go and what to do. I just need to work on not getting anxious and
impatient 🙂
