Oh Robin,
How funny, its 5:00 and I am the only one awake and I am sitting here
giggling at my computer. Just thinking about you liking Pho
We too have discovered Pho. We eat at
Pho95 and Pho99, chain Pho restaurants in our oriental area.
We are always the only "white folk" (as texans would say) in the
restaurant, the menu is in vietnamese, and no forks served which is fine,
we eat with chop sticks a lot at home anyway. I always feel like a
giant in there but love it anyway. They have this drink, called a Chinese
health drink. It looks sooo odd, solid stuff on the bottom half of the
drink, mushrooms, herbs, other non-definable things, and its a brown
color, but the best tasting stuff, and makes you feel so good after.
Probably a bit of ginsing or something in it. Its sweet, so plenty of
sugar I am sure.
I love putting in all those sprouts and mint. Yummy. Might just
have to go there tomorrow. Its next to the chinese supermarket.
And I am just about out of my favorite food, chinese vegetarian
abalone. So good in stir fry.
Do you make Pancit, the filaiino staple ? I have a great recipe
if you want it.Seeking Him,
Pat
