plain folks in Minnesota

Hi, I wanted to comment on living "plain" in Minnesota. Where I grew up in
Finland (small town only 25 miles from me now), there is a very large amount
of plain folk type people who live there. Most people I dont' think even
know they do. We only know because of our plumbing business and we do work
for some of them. They all have acre after acre of land and what beautiful
land it is!! They all homeschool, they all dress modestly and seem so
friendly when you meet them. Most do not have electricity. They employ each
others children for things and seem to barter frequently. These people live
way out in the boonies on very very beautiful land. I was amazed to find
them there after growing up in the area and never knew they were there! They
don't have to worry about any harrassment, people who know they are there
just except them and enjoy them. It is a wonderful area. Love, Julie
