Poem: God Is On The Throne

God is on the throne

In sickness and in health
In war and in peace

—God is on the throne.

You think He can be outwitted;
You think He's not there?
—God is on the throne.

You ask "Where are you God?
I can't see you
I can't feel you."
—God is on the throne.

Then, in your hour of darkness, in the
depth of despair, when all other sources
of enlightenment, fulfillment and satisfaction
are being tried and failing
—God is on the throne.

Your pillow is wet with tears
Your mind is filled with pain
Your soul is in bitter anguish
Finally, there is none left but God.
You cry out, "Dear God, help!"

"Here am I. I've waited so long to be
the only One you seek."

At last!
Peace!
God is on the throne
—Of your heart.
