Polytune

First, my wife buys me gear for Christmas and birthday presents. I have been blessed with an awesome wife.Second, my birthday was last Saturday. My wife gave me a TC Electronics Polytune tuner. I have a TU-2 on my bass pedalboard (I've been mainly playing bass for the past couple of years), and my first inner reaction (I didn't say this to her, of course) was that I didn't really need a new tuner. But I was excited to get a Polytune because I've wanted to try one, the TU-2 was the only thing keeping me from picking one up. So, I add it to my pedalboard Sunday morning, and first thing try to tune the B-string on my 5 bass. It picks the B-string up right away and gives me a rock solid tune. The one thing about the TU-2 is that it has always been iffy about the B-string. Most the time in order to tune it I have to use 12th fret harmonics. Not so with the Polytune. It does the job. So, the TU-2 goes into my gig bag as a backup and the Polytune gets velcro on the bottom.
Three significant additions to the bass pedalboard in the past month, a Morley Mini-volume, the Sansamp VT-DI and the Polytune. I'll post some pics of my pedalboard to Facebook next weekend.
