Potted plants etc

Posted by: muddybootacres <muddybootacres@...>

I have had that problem of a cat in the plants too
in the past. I cut a circle of decorative mesh or
paper and put over the top of the planter with a
slit to leave out the stems. It deters them from
bothering them and keeps the outside bugs that were
in the plants at bay.
I have begonias I want to try and bring in. They
grew so beautiful here this year. I also have a
grapefruit tree that goes in and out every year. It
is well over 35 years old. A great inc l r started
it from seed. It has become a straggly take ant
that 'll loses leaves then revives. It has stopped
growing in height about 5'. Being potted it has
reached its potential but I keep struggling with it
anyway.
I suppose I should start canning the potatoes and
pumpkin soon. Good time now so cell or is cool in
the house.
We also butchered the chickens last week so I will
be canning that to make room for the pork.
I thought about those tails too Clara, but don't
know what I would do with them!
