PowerPoint vs MediaShout

We use PowerPoint in our worship service, but one of our songleaders
goes to a convention every year in Nashville and comes back full of
fervor for a software package called MediaShout. I've looked at
their demo and can find nothing that it can do that I can't do in
PowerPoint, plus it requires specific training in order to use it.

What am I overlooking?
Does anyone have any experience with MediaShout and PowerPoint? How
do they compare?
