Who is Going to Heaven

Psalm 15:1-5

Psalm 15:1 "LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?"

The thought is, who shall abide orremain in the Tabernacle? Or to apply the thought, Who can abide in close fellowship with the Saviour? (Recall that the Tabernacle was where the earthly presence of Jehovah God dwelt. To abide in His presence today, in heaven, implies being in close fellowship with Him.)

Have you ever really wondered about who is going to Heaven?

Maybe you’ve even wondered if you’re going to Heaven!

Well, God shows us how to identify those who are going to Heaven.

Look at this Psalm and notice who is going to Heaven:

I. He that walketh uprightly (vs. 2)

- A walk in integrity or an honest walk in truth

II. He that worketh righteousness (vs. 2)

- A practice of what’s morally right before God

III. He that speaketh the truth in his heart (vs. 2)

- Honest with himself

IV. He doesn’t speak against his neighbour, does right by his neighbour (vs. 3)

A. He us is not a talebearer

B. He us is not an evil doer

C. He us is not a rumour bearer

V. He has a disgust for the vile person (vs. 4)

A. Despises the vile person's reprobate ways

B. In contrast: he honours them that keep their word, fears God, changes not

C. He makes loans with no interest, and takes no bribe (vs. 5)

D. He that lives by these standards and shall not be moved (shaken) (vs. 5)

Are you identified with those going to Heaven? You can be by trusting in Jesus.

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
