Isn't that what we all want our computers to be? A helper, not a tool?

What about being able to use AppleScript (one of my favorite technologies)
to configure the interface. Like, something that would respond to this
script

put "new" in file menu triggering doMyNew and inheriting new file

This code would create a "new" command in the File menu, that would trigger
the user's AS function, and it would inherit our standard new file
procedures.

I don't think anything like this has ever been done. Well, attachabilty is
not a new concept, but I don't think it's evern been carried to _this_
level.

But, whatever we do (and count me in for something), it _should_ support
all the latest Apple technologies such as AppleScript, AppleGuild,
ColorSync (if it's a painting program), Drag Manager, and as M Goodes
mentioned, Speech Reconition.
