It sounds like you've got a strong sense of vocation there. I think
settling on pre-sermon songs only sounds sensible. The demands of
where you are can weigh heavily but sometimes you have a commitment
you need to honour elsewhere and you've got to be able to allow
sufficient time to get from one to the other.
In the bigger picture, your worship clearly doesn't end when the last
bass note fades away and that is something to be commended in the
light of Colossians 3 and other passages. Let everything you do be
done for the glory of God and may others have the grace not to let
idolising of "the church service" get in the way of the church
serving.
