Re: Former video issues

Hi Rex,

I am impressed with your video! I quite see why you say Movie Maker wouldn't do. I have Cyberlink's Power Director but I don't know how easy it would be to get the effects you want. You can download a free trial: http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/index_en_GB.html . If this link doesn't work (as it may be UK specific) just go to the home page. I find it a bit complex to use.

I'd be inclined to continue with PP for the video and then add the audio in a video editor. Serif's Movie Maker X6 is my choice for straightforward editing. Not too expensive and easy to move the audio about if you're not looking for lip-sync. http://www.serif.com/movieplus/ - £67 which is about $87 now.

Let us know how you get on please!

I love that this list is still going!!

Blessings,
David Wyatt (UK)

Hi, all! As promised, here is the link to the video I referenced earlier in the week, a large portion of which was produced in PowerPoint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z4Q5ePxQx0. I think it will be clear why Movie Maker alone would not have been sufficient for what I envisioned of the final product.

Now, a question: If I am going to continue doing things like this for my church, I believe I am going to ask for funding for proper tools to do it right. Any suggestions on software to produce videos of this type without trying to make programs do things they were never designed to do?

As usual…thanks in advance!

God bless,
Rex
